Luke's weight check...

We had his appt yesterday. He weighed 10lbs even, so he gained 8ozs in 8 days. Not perfect, but good for Luke. We should hear back from the GI dr tomorrow for a plan (notice how much he cares!! Luke's last appt was 12/26 and we STILL haven't heard from him because he's in vacation!)

We ended up doing the rice in his bottle and a faster flow nipple. These changes have made feedings more bearable but the spit up is still insane! Last night he had a 6oz bottle before bed and I'm not exaggerating in saying that he spit up the whole bottle over a course of an hr. He had a very forceful spit up too. If Luke is laying on your leg with him elevated (so you can talk to him) and you lean forward, he spits up everything like a volcano because you put pressure on his belly. Even putting him in his car seat after a feeding causes him spit up if you lift his arm the wrong way and cause pressure on his belly.

So I'm waiting for the GI to call us back (STILL). If I don't like his suggestions we are moving on to a different dr. I'm still waiting to hear about the feeding study and if our insurance will cover it.

In good news... The insurance is COVERING the formula he is on (Neocate), so we are very excited! And someone came to look at our house Monday and really liked it. We are hoping they put in an offer!
